Upon receiving an ‘Application for Services’ for any of our programs, a review will be conducted by Libbie Young Centre’s Admission & Discharge Committee to determine the appropriateness of the application. Please contact us for more information.


Life Skills Program

The Life Skills Program is the first of three phases a client will transition through while living at the Libbie Young Centre. The purpose of the Life Skills program is to assist clients to develop independent living skills. For more information click here.


Supported Independent Living Program

The Supported Independent Living Program is the second of three phases a client will transition through while living at the Libbie Young Centre. The purpose of the Supported Independent Living Program is to further develop and maintain skills learned through the Life Skills Program. For more information click here.


Community Outreach Program

The Community Outreach Program is the third phase a client will transition through after living at the Libbie Young Centre and progressing through the Life Skills and Supported Independent Living Programs. The purpose of the Community Outreach Program is to provide support for healthy independent living.  

The Community Outreach Program is opened to all community members with mental illness, it is not a requirement to have completed the Life Skills and Supported Independent Programs to access services.  For more information click here.


Day Program

The Day Program offers a variety of educational, recreation and leisure activities for clients of the Libbie Young Centre. The purpose of the Day Program is to provide opportunities for clients to learn and socialize with their peers in a safe and inclusive environment while expanding knowledge of cost-effective resources and increasing community involvement.  

Clients of the Life Skills, Supported Independent Living and Community Outreach Program are able to access Day Program Services. Any community member with a mental illness is eligible to apply for Day Program services, it is not a requirement to live at the Libbie Young Centre and transition through phases 1-3. Summer Recreation Program

The Summer Recreation Program provides clients with the opportunity to get involved in their community and develop recreation and leisure awareness. The program offers a variety of indoor/outdoor interventions both at the Libbie Young Centre and various locations in Lloydminster. Through participation, clients learn what cost-effective resources and activities are available in the community. For more information click here.
